    Temperature Control/Selector Knob Broke

Hi All, My temp control knob on the dash broke on my 94 RT10. It cracked inside. So now it will just keep turning and turning. Does anybody know if any other car uses the same knobs? I know the vipers used some of the same parts as other dodge vehicles. I can't find anything online for a Viper...

Fan coming on all the time, is this common??

No, I mean so much for the book. I have already found 2 mistakes in it, so why not another? The coils of the relays are labeled in series with either other. Which means both coils would energize at the same time when the PCM calls for it. The normally closed contact portion (low fan) would go...

Fan coming on all the time, is this common??

Basically Guys, I am wondering if your fans come on and go off as frequent as mine? (of course Roe fan system would be different) I mean whoever has a stock fan. I looked at the schematic for the fan relays and it its not right. Both relays' coils are connected in the schematic. That doesn't...

Fan coming on all the time, is this common??

Ok, My coolant level is fine. My battery is at 12.8V when its not running. The alternator is charging at 14.2V when running. The fan is coming on every 17 seconds, and it stays on for 10 seconds. It just keeps doing that for as long as the car is running. When the fan comes on, the voltage drops...

Fan coming on all the time, is this common??

I have a 94 RT and ever since I had it, the fan keeps coming on like every 30 seconds. When it comes on, during idle, I can hear that the engine's revs go down about half normal idle for like a split second. Its like its having trouble supplying the fan with enough power to come on, let alone...

Back up Lights won't work along with hazard lights

Well, I got the new switch in and it works very well. I am going to get it inspected tomorrow. So it turns out that it was the back up light switch on the tranny that was grounding out onto the transmission every time it was supposed to turn the lights on. This is why I was receiving 12V at the...

    Hazard Lights Not Working

I looked at the history report, nothing says it was ever in New Orleans. It did come from Florida though. I looked everywhere for spots that would suggest flood damage, under the seat (rusted brackets), under the carpet, up inside the compartment between the seats and the trunk, the bolts...

    Hazard Lights Not Working

Hi Steve-Indy, I think we are talking about the same area. My problem is that there is an open between the fuse and 12V. There are fused wires behind the center console that I dont have time to take apart. So I just ran a separate wire from the 20A fuse to the battery and they work.

Back up Lights won't work along with hazard lights

Well, I got the switch out and tested it, it is open. So its bad. I also did the paper clip thing. So I went to consumer auto parts and ordered one. Jeez, it'll take 3 to 4 days. I guess this is what I should expect, having a rarer car. I will post my final results when I get the back up light...

    Hazard Lights Not Working

Well, I got the manual and started making my own schematics and I came up with the fused wire open before the 20A fuse. I aint gonna tear the dash apart, so I ran my own hot wire with a 10A fuse right to the battery. I just need to get it inspected, then I'll take the fuse out so nothing fries...

    Hazard Lights Not Working

I swear, but all I have has so far for 8 days with this Viper are problems. I troubleshoot it and it seems like it defies the laws of physics. First its the back up lights, that seems to be the switch on the tranny, but still I was getting the required 12V at the back up light sockets. Doesnt...

    Take steering wheel off

Guys, How do you take the steering wheel off of a 94 rt 10? I need to check the hazard light switch? Is that even how you get to it? Thanks

Back up Lights won't work along with hazard lights

Thanks for the input. Yeah I tested everything. 12V at the fuse, the socket, tested the lights, etc, all are fine. I finally got the time to jack it up and get underneath to test the tranny reverse switch. Its bad, at least it looks like it. I shorted the leads and the reverse lights came on...

Back up Lights won't work along with hazard lights

I will be checking that switch when I get the chance. Just havent gotten the chance yet. I doubt its the switch, but maybe it is. That wouldnt explain why the hazard lights arent working, would it?

Back up Lights won't work along with hazard lights

I ran a positive wire and used the same ground and the light worked. There is something really screwed up here. Still dont know whats wrong with the hazards. I am getting a service manual that should be here tomorrow for a 94 RT-10. I'll post some scans of schematics of what you guys want...

Back up Lights won't work along with hazard lights

Hi All, I posted this at Viper Alley too. Im new to this forum and just bought a 1994 Viper RT10. I tried to get it inspected and the back up lights won't work. This is weird, but I am getting 12V when I put it into reverse on both sockets. BUT, when I put one light bulb in, I measure the other...
