    Rev limiter proper operation

Yeah, they just "cut" suddenly. raised my to 6450. Made the car quite a bit faster in the quarter mile cause of the shift recovery rpm was a tad higher. Mopar ECU raises it to 6400.

    question about boost compression ect....

I didn't read all the posts, so forgive if this has been covered.... Boost does not equal power.... boost that you see in your intake manifold is just an indication of your engines restriction to airflow from the blower. Say you have a Paxton that normally peaks at 8 psi at 6000 rpm on a stock...

    SCT PROGRAMMER.....

You are right, 3 "marriages" is correct. I didn't wanna come off as too much of a dick and correct everything that was said above. lol.

    SCT PROGRAMMER.....

Hook up your SCT, turn the key on, and use the SCT to display your calibration ID, then post this up please. It will be something like : 05030302ac

    SCT PROGRAMMER.....

No, that is not the case. Like I said, you can easily put the latest 2006 calibration into a 2003 Viper, and there are no issues.

Do 3.55 gears really lower indicated HP?

Yeah, you don't need "mileage " on a gear set. You should heat cycle them a few times, and you are good to go.

    Injector upgrade?

Getting a duty cycle of even a stock computer car is easy.... getting a reliable dyno number... that's the hard part.

    Injector upgrade?

The 29# G2 injector is rated at 4 bar (58psi) if my old memory is serving me correctly.

Do 3.55 gears really lower indicated HP?

Thanks.... If you have never seen this, this also blows some peoples minds away.... Why Dynojets read high, and the Dynojet "Fudge". From: The Story Behind the Dynojet Chassis Dyno - The Truth Meter - Hot Rod Magazine

    650 NA RWHP

So what's the Viper consensus? 3500 pounds, 650 rwhp? 135 on street tires, 137 on slicks? Edit.... so what does a Gen 1 Viper weight? Gen 2? Gen 3? Actual weight?

    650 NA RWHP

Yeah, I use that formula as well, but it's a tough one since no one ever actually engine dynos their car. Patrick Hale developed that one in the early 80's using linear regression analysis from quarter mile performance and peak engine power of the cars in that day. Works pretty well if you...

    SCT PROGRAMMER.....

Buying it cheap is what got him into this mess. Had he spent a couple bucks extra and bought it from a Viper SCT tuner, they woulda taken care of him. I dunno, it's a weird error message. Did the dynoshop have another unit they coulda tried? Do me a favour, hook up the SCT and then read out...

Canada... the BEST country in the world - April 28 Edition

Yeah, yeah.... it's cause my garage is around in the back lane, and it's all muddy as hell back there still, so I left it out front lol. It's ok, I'm Canadian, if someone ****s with it, I have a BB gun. In reality.... I don't even lock my front door when I am home. Canadian's are all about...

    SCT PROGRAMMER.....

Weird. You can put a 2006 file into a 2004 Viper, so should not be an issue. Perhaps as stated above, the unit has already been used to flash a car, so now it is locked to that vehicle? That box also flashes SRT4 Neon and Hemi BTW.

Do 3.55 gears really lower indicated HP?

Ahhhh, fun stuff. Dyno games ;) Gears do not actually affect power. They will multiply torque, which is why "Rear Wheel Torque" is always quoted wrong, but that's a different issue, so I digress lol. What is REALLY happening is that todays dyno tests are mainly done as a "sweep". Ie, the...

    650 NA RWHP

I've never actually weighed a Viper... are they much heavier than 3500 pounds with Driver? So what do these 650 rwhp Vipers run? 137 mph?
  19. T

    SCT PROGRAMMER.....

Some guys consider the "program" the software to upload tunes TO the programmer. For instance you can buy blank SCT units sometimes for cheap, with the program, but it's useless without a TUNE file. :drive: Or worse, if you grab one that has had a tune in it and flashed to a car already...

    Injector upgrade?

A few ways to skin a cat. What an injector flows at it's rated pressure is all it flows. No magic will get more out of it. Many guys eclipse what the injectors is capable of, but this can usually be explained in one of 3 ways. Again, it's not voodoo, rather physics. 1). Dyno performed on a...

    Injector upgrade?

Take your injector size, multiply by ten, then divide by a "guessed" brake specific fuel consumption number... A fairly good NA street motor can pull .45 , but .5 is safe. So a 24# injector is good for about 480 to 533 engine hp (520) a 29# is good for 580 to 645 engine hp. (630) I have my...

    650 NA RWHP

Gen 2's are what? 29#/hr? Only good to ~630 engine HP at 100%

    650 NA RWHP

Just an FYI, a TRUE 650 rwhp in a 3500 pound car WILL run 143+ mph in the quarter. :2tu:

    supercharger was it a mistake

Good advice.... you will already be blazing the tires, unless you are drag racing and running a sticky tire or slick, I would not do the gears AND the supercharger. Try it first and and see what you think.
