Oil pressure - is 70-80psi normal?
'03 here. Similar comment to first response. Owned the vehicle for about 6 years now, always running 'high' on the gauge, almost pinging it. Does seem to lower in the 50-60 range when hot and at idle. I really don't think you have a problem. That is just the way the Viper runs. High...- TexasTorred

Thanks Bob! Yes, the 8 speed (in paddle shift + track mode) is absolutely amazing. I did get nailed (in the Viper though) by one of those 2 door spec-v caddy's. It was OBVIOUSLY heavily modified b/c A) he literally did a U-turn and chased me down and B) he walked me like I was standing...- TexasTorred

Good post Free. Think the Hellcat owner just couldn't put the power down. I own both. A Gen III and a Hellcat (Charger). Off the line the Hellcat (stock 275s) is damn near impossible to get to hook up. Launch control helps though. Just too much power. Let my brother take the Gen III...- TexasTorred

New member with maintenance question
Great advice above. I have an '03 purchased in '11 w/3900 miles on it. Now 22K, love driving it. It had no service documentation, so 'no taking chances.' Replaced all fluids and new spark plugs as well. Who knows how little my car was driven/or sat in a garage. Also, yes, check those...- TexasTorred

Drag Strip Test - C7 Z06 vs Hellcat vs Viper vs ZR1
Nice write up. Impressive 'real world' times on the hellcat, given its' 4,500+ lbs, "only" 275s out back. Not bad to nail these times, then drive back home with 2 in the back seat, A/C on and 20+mpg......Got to hand it to "SRT" oh, sorry......"Dodge."- TexasTorred

+2. If an auto option appeals to more buyers --which obviously more buyers are needed ---- why not. Especially at $100K+ price tag--the 'intended market' and potential 'cross-shoppers' may eliminate the car from their decision based on no automatic.
