    I'm having a hell of a time getting my paxton viper smogged in CA. It passes everything but the visual. Any recommendations on turning it back stock. Otherwise I gotta sell it out of state.

    Okay thanks for confirming that I'm not the idiot. Thought we were working with some space aged metal engine block or something. Ridiculous. I got a set of Fel-Pro's from eBay, anyone have experience with them?

    I just had a really weird conversation with a dealer. He told me that the OEM exhaust headers don't need gaskets, that the head connects to the engine metal to metal. Is this true?

    Sorry not explaining it right, and i'm probably using all the wrong terminology. They gave me whats called a reversed cell, so the positive terminal is where the negative one is supposed to be.     I did the install my self, didn't cut any wires, I bought all the harnesses needed for the install. All amps and speakers are stock right now. I've done this sort of thing on all my cars, so didn't think it was going to be an issue and installing it was easy and everything around the system...

    I just installed a new battery and a new stereo system in my 06 SRT Coupe, and now the alarm will go off when I'm out of range i think, or it may go off a few minutes after I set the alarm, I can't figure out the rationale. I also had an issue with the guys at the shop giving me a reversed...

    I get this in San Francisco all the time (along with a lot of scorn from all the smug prius drivers), but I'm Indian so they figure I'm with some tech start up or Google ;). I freaken grew up in the Tendelloin in the city, made my bones and bought me 2 fat cars, a motorcycle and house bitches.

    Thanks SFViper, wish I had seen that before i placed my order with X2 for the cats for $300 total. Maybe Ill just buy this system so I can swap the aftermarkets back in after smog. SFViper, where you located? I thought maybe I had the only Viper in the city since everyone here drives freaken...
