Solutions for Rear Tires Rubbing Fenders?
Could you shave a few millimetres from the rear fender lip radius to clear the tyre when the suspension bottoms? Nobody would notice the lip reduction.- mad prof

What are the differences in the gen2 vs gen 3 engines? ( rod knock issue ) ---

Kumho 315s on 17x13 rim?
The Kumho 335/35/17 is a “narrow” tyre, compared with PS2 of the same dimensions fitted on a 17” x 13" rims. I will post some pics to see the amount of “ring” the wheel has on both sides. Differential issues 2003 SRT
I test drove a very low mileage 2003 SRT. The car behaved well with no issues. When returned to the dealership, I put reverse to park the car and a series of alarming metallic noises started coming from the rear of the transaxle. Gen 2 Belly Pan..........
The belly pan on RT10 is aluminum 4mm with 12 high grade bolts. I have replaced them with stainless steel high tensile button head bolts and torqued them to specs. I believe the pan is mainly for protection purposes, but will offer some structural support to the ladden frame of the Viper.- mad prof

Another loose Crank bolt...kind of
Emaw, could you put a mirror towards the crank pulley and inspect the condition of the threads? This is how I saw the bunged threads with thredlock on mine. First, tighten back the nut all the way, then place the mirror and isnpect. Hope there is good news.- mad prof

Another loose Crank bolt...kind of
Emaw, have you removed the crank bolt before? if not, chances that your crank threads are shot are diminishing. Good thing nothing was damaged. Mine was a total pain to remove. Thread locker bunged the remaining threads preventing the last few spins of the nut. Paitience, back and forth...- mad prof

How long do Michelin super sports last (age wise)?
Check the grooves in the carcass of the tyre for any cracks, as the soft ruber tends to soak up heat and splice the foot of the tyre. Mine were 2 years old and full of cracks, especially the rears. What diameter are your tyres? As you do not know the history of the tyres, proceed with...- mad prof

Did I pay too much?
Nickel, well done. First thing to do is change the tyres. If they are the originals, they are plain dangerous. Change fluids and lubricants. As for the summer, the top is off and after certain speed limits, you do feel cool! let us see some shots!- mad prof

Did I pay too much?
Low mileage cars are often a good gauge of genuine vehicles. You have acquired a bargain. Keep it bone-stock and you will always recoup your investment. Modify and enjoy. The choice is yours. Congratulations and please post some photos!- mad prof

Fuse Mystery
Concur with Steve-Indy. My 1996 R/T 10 fuse location #9 is for "Heater Motor" and is a green 30 amp fuse. Good luck solving the mystery.- mad prof

NEW TIRES for my RT BF GOODRICH
I have Khumo ECSTA V700 on my RT10 and they are superb. Hard compound and very sticky when warm. Very reasonably priced also. Strongly recommended.- mad prof
