For those waiting for the battery cover or compression limiters they are now back in stock and available to order on my website.
The battery cover finish is now a matte black anodize and there is an engraved battery logo symbol on the face.
Thanks
Doug
When I installed the intake manifold I also installed a catch can as I didn't want to muck up the new intake with oil ( http://dougshelbyengineering.com/uploads/DSE_Dodge_Viper_SRT-10_Non-Invasive_Radium_Engineering_Catch_Can_Mounting_Bracket_Rev2.pdf ).
I can't speak for hose installation...
Looks like I should have more battery covers in stock in a little over a month. The price will increase slightly due to increased cost of materials since the last run.
Thanks
Doug
The battery covers will be in stock no sooner than 2 months if I had to guess. If I can't get the price down it may not happen. Will report back here and on the other forum and update my website when there is news.
Thanks for your order of the heat shield! Unfortunately someone else just purchased the last battery cover. I may try a group purchase in the future but my cost has gone up on these since the first run so I need to evaluate my options.
Thanks for the interest and congratulations on your new Viper. Thanks Steve. As Steve said there are quite a few posts on the heat shield on the other forum.
The heat shield is in stock and the battery cover is nearly sold out (I have 1 left). Everyone has been happy with the quality and...
One of the Deltran Battery Tenders is the way to go. It can be left on the battery permanently without risk of damage. No need to start the car unless you are going for a real drive. I use the Battery Tender Plus.
One other option to consider is connecting the Battery Tender directly to the...
First off, my car only had 1000 miles when purchased in 2012 so I can’t take credit for that. It now has ~2500, only 500 in 2013.
WHY?!?
- I have a 2 year old. I need to take her to day care. Driving the Viper on weekdays just isn’t possible. Even if I didn’t have to take her, I commonly need...
I found out quickly that normal shoes weren't great. I wear "Nike Free" shoes while driving the Viper which are smaller and narrower than a "normal" shoe. It is almost like a cross between a driving shoe and a normal shoe.
Yes the GT3-R is fantastic looking in person; it would make a great looking ACR.
Wide body not only allows extra tire width but track width as well. The race cars are widened to meet the max allowable width per series regulations. All of the ALMS GT cars are about the same width regardless of...
FYI, I attended the SRT track experience in August. I purchased a used 2008 coupe and the previous owner never used it. They will let you attend years after the purchase (they even said this during the presentation at the track).
Also , non-SRT vehicle owners can attend but the price just went...
Here is a real carbon fiber replacement.

I think the faux carbon is a mopar part and about half the price...
Looks great! Contemplated this before purchasing 6 spokes. Then the price went down at VPA - would have been a no-brainer. Any weights after mounting the tires?
I'm with you on the weight savings approach. Heading down the same path myself slowly but surely. How much weight did the fly wheel save and which one did you get? Have you noticed any drivability issues?
If you have any cash left over, why not save some more weight with the DSE battery cover!
