    P0456 Evap System Small Leak

Well, here's an update. Like with most problems in life, I try to solve them by doing nothing. At 6,800-ish miles, while on the highway, the light turned off. I did nothing at all. Oh, and the battery-disconnect thing doesn't do anything at all. I took the negative cable off for half an hour...

My Dealership No Longer Servicing Gen 5

I haven't yet. The closest High Performance dealership is 80 miles away, and the Viper tech doesn't work weekends, so I'll probably never meet this person. I seriously hope I never have to have any warranty repairs done... Anyone know about whether Tim Kuniskis' opening all dealers to sell the...

Welcome to the club!! Can't wait to see pics of the car in that area!

    Time Attack on a GTS?

This is quoted from here: As we all know, the Viper "builder" online is crap, and Mark may know more, but looks like the "Time Attack Group" is only for the last ten Carbon Special Editions, and not available for anything else. The description above doesn't say anything about the two-piece...

    Gen V at Buttonwillow

Pretty good video! The sound of the car is awesome. I would have preferred the commentary not to be ADR, but none the less, watch that a few times and you'd be ready to hit the track!!

How is the Viper on driveways or entrances with an incline?

What? The Gen V's have a "hill start" function that prevents rollback on a hillstart assist. My TA is only barely worse than my '06 300 SRT8. It's really not that bad. The specs say that that approach angle is 10.73 degrees, but it feels like way more than that.

General Owners Concensus on the Gen 5

I like mine very much, but still have a tough time driving it smoothly. I think the clutch take-up is WAY too close to the top of the pedal travel. And I am NOT impressed with the panel fit. The paint is absolutely gorgeous, but some of the panel gaps are Just. Plain. Crap. The kinds of...

Great Articles on the Viper (Some good press!!!)

That Hot Rod article is great! My dad is a subscriber and he photocopied it and mailed it to me when it was published. LOL Anyone out there have an Italian or British supercar you'd let me drive? I don't think my Viper is harsh, but I have nothing to compare it to. GIVE ME YOUR KEYS!!!:drive:

2014 C&D VIR Lightning Lap Results...Viper TA delivers!

FINALLY got my C&D today. And on the pricing sheet, they list the TA as $134,680 base price and $134,680 "as tested". There's a little asterisk under the table that denotes "Base price includes all performance-enhancing options." Of which, on the TA there were none. Before the $15k price cut...

Holy crap...Dodge just announced great incentives to spur sales

As a still proud owner of a Gen V Viper, I'm a little on the fence with this "instant" discount. Does it make me regret my purchase? Hells no. It just makes me wish I'd waited a little bit. Like many have said, those who were "on the fence" about this car should have just been kicked straight...

2014 Lightning Lap results (Car and Driver Magazine)

Heeeeey!! Not bad!! From here, and the new 2014 results added. Like was stated, the track got repaved, so the comparison isn't exactly "fair", but unless C&D wants to retest all the cars, it's what we've got. 1, Porsche 918, 2:43.1, Issue 10/14 2, Mosler MT900S, 2:45.9, Issue 11/08 3...

Super Cars & Super Jets, New Cumberland, PA, September 27th, 2014

I registered for this the other day. Heard about it from a VOA member I met at Carlisle. http://supercarsandjets.com/ $25.00 to register for the show. From the website above, here's the list of eligible entries: Luxury & Exotic: Ferrari Lamborghini Aston Martin McLaren Porsche...

Information from Chrysler on 2015 Viper

Yeah, so not that I'm regretting it, but I would really like one of the new TA 2.0s in Competition Blue. And now that the numbers are released for production cars, once again, every model is a "special" one. They're only making 32 each of Competition Blue, Venom Black, and this new "Yorange"...

    P0456 Evap System Small Leak

Good to know! I did a quick search on the TSB number and came up with El Zilcho. I'm at 3,100 miles now and my light is still on. I think a Saturday road trip to the closest dealer might be a fun activity after all.

    washing a TA

I read that was a problem on the 2013 cars, but the mechanism was updated and the new part appeared on all the 2014 cars. Not that I point the pressure washer right down the hole, but I've not had any problems with mine. Maybe I'm a moron, but I just don't like the idea that a car that is so...

    TA Details - input please

That may have been it. I found this one from "Brian GTS" on the VOA. Silly boys and their money!! That makes sense, Brian. Seems a shame to trade one in so soon, but I bet the new owner got a great deal on it!

    TA Details - input please

Which was weird that I saw one picture of one car at a dealer. I didn't think you could get those. I swear up and down there is one orange car with black SRT stripes. I just checked all the places that still have one for sale (I keep a spreadsheet because I'm a nerd), but I can't find it. It...

    TA Details - input please

I did see one orange TA on cars.com that had black stripes. I didn't know you could get those. And the Exterior Carbon Fiber Accent Package comes with carbon front and rear brake ducts, as well as the carbon fiber rear applique which the TA already gets standard. I bought my car off the lot...

    washing a TA

Dude, I high-pressure spray mine down all over. You will get water to pool up right at the front, under the hood, but not a lot will actually get on the motor unless you open the hood to drip dry. Same goes for the hatch. It will run water into the trunk area, so be careful. Otherwise, water...

    front emblem on viper TA

Actually, Bob is correct. Any surface protrusion will change the aerodynamics of the car. As velocities increase, the frontal area of the badge will begin to add some drag, but Bob and ViperSmith are both correct about whether or not you'd notice. I don't feel like running any numbers, but...

    P0456 Evap System Small Leak

Hey Todd, The same code is still present. I've driven the car another thousand miles since it first came on, and there's been plenty of opportunities for it to clear, and it hasn't. Which tells me there's a mechanical problem I need to look into. From the sound of your post and mblgjr's...
