    96/97 B&W Club!

UPDATE: Yesterday on Bring a Trailer a ''97 RT/10 sold for $95,000 not including 5% auction fee. New record for a non-'92 I believe. For all you B/W folks out there your time is coming :). Many of the people watching didn't even know the car existed. That should indicate these rare...

    Viper values going up

I bought a new '95 Green/Tan and gave the 8 year old neighbor boy a ride. He said, "Someday I'm gonna buy a Viper". There were many kids back then that loved Vipers. Now they have the money.

    Seeking 1994 to 1998 Dodge Viper RT10

Agree 100% DJ. Scoring an excellent example for forty-something now will probably look like a brilliant decision later. More importantly in the unlikely chance the value goes nowhere, you still own one of the coolest, most unique and fun to drive American cars ever to coat tarmac with rubber...

    Seeking 1994 to 1998 Dodge Viper RT10

Agree with you Jeff.......for now. Near future could change if the Viper market holds and trends upward. The reality is these are rare cars. Period. Except for outlier '94, Gen 1&2 yearly production numbers were less than 2k/year. Impressionable kids in the '90s are now in the position to...

Why are 1997 RT-10's hard to find/none for sale??

Next pic is the driveline assembly components. Tires, engines and trannys / L to R. Last is the motorized chassis. These can be seen driving around the plant floor. this one is waiting for it's turn in the dyno. Hope this was of some interest to the Viper community. Best, Bret.

Why are 1997 RT-10's hard to find/none for sale??

Sorry for the poor quality scans but I think you can get the idea what's going on in the pictures. Top to bottom: * Rolling dyno - notice the fixed yellow stop post in the foreground. There is also one in the front of the car and is hydraulically operated. Speeds were in excess of 100mph. *...

Why are 1997 RT-10's hard to find/none for sale??

BYAIC, I read most of the thread..........poor chap. Quite possibly the case, color wise. The trunk was the biggest offender when it came to being a shade off. The body pieces came from different vendors hence the discrepancies in QC. Best, Bret.

Why are 1997 RT-10's hard to find/none for sale??

When i get a chance I'll scan some pics for you. One of the coolest pics was of the completed storage bay called the "Toy Box". There were always Reliable car haulers just outside the huge doors waiting to be loaded.

Why are 1997 RT-10's hard to find/none for sale??

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So to add and clarify why the '97 RT/10 was so limited in production was mostly due to time constraints. In 1996 they closed the New Mack facility and moved production...

    Seeking 1994 to 1998 Dodge Viper RT10

If there is a choice and you can find a '97 in VBlue or VRed grab one. Rarest of the bunch. Happy hunting sir.

So which Viper is or will be the most collectable?

1992, 1997 RT/10 in Viper blue (and one without stripes) 2002 Final editions (with #s), GT2s and most of the ACRs.

    Gen 1 Viper in 8' x 18" trailer

Depends on the construction. Since it is 6" shy of the 102" max trailer it will be a little tight. At ~77" the Viper mathematically will fit but........... To increase your odds of success it should have recessed (or very low) wheel wells so the doors can be opened and an escape door may be...

    Drivers window won't go down

Yes sir, thanks. Just ordered as well. I am going to try and replace the clip without pulling the entire regulator. I may try and ease the wire off the pulley to ease the tension. Any tips.........?

    Drivers window won't go down

Exact same problem here. Just happened. DS window on '97 RT10. Have not pulled the door panels yet. What is "plastic clip syndrome" and is it a simple replace or repair with new parts? Any tips on door panel removal? Parts availability? Thanks guys in advance. Best, Bret.

Gen 5 viper value retention after 2017 brand discontinuing

That price will look like a bargain in a couple of years. There is not a car collector on planet earth that doesn't want one of these in the corral. And there is an exponential number of collectors than cars. Sorry..............back to the thread subject.;) The great thing about the Gen...

New Viper will be home next week. Trickle charger question.

I have a Deltran with the pigtail attached to the jumping terminal under the hood - drivers side. I just have to reach through the opening to access the plug.
