I just used Executive Autos. 1100 miles and 2 days. They picked up the next day after invoice. $1100 for enclosed 2 car trailer Lots of good reviews if that matters. I was happy with them. Good customer service and have me the truckers cell to keep in touch.
Thanks Kma4444. While replacing my master cylinder this weekend, I figured out the button. Phil used to drag race the car and I think had this button installed to assist in burnouts. There is probably a name for it, but the button activates a solenoid that goes to the front brakes. I am not sure...
Hey guys. I have a ’97 GTS that has a master cylinder bypassing, so I need to replace it. Though the master cylinder looks like nothing special,
I do have a big brake kit installed made by Brembo. This car is a recent purchase and I do not have the history, but the pads and rotors look good...
Thanks Kmma444 for sharing. I will treat it with respect and am totally excited to try it out on a road track sometime. Maybe you know Kmma444, there is a silver button just below the dash dimmer that turns red when depressed and I hear what sounds like a relay click on under the hood. Do you...
The switch will be the first thing I check if it does it again. I trust the analog gauge more than light switches. I didn't notice the gauge sadly when the light was flickering. I was in the process of shutting down.
It did the trick. It was in the middle. I kept a close look at the gauge and it never went below about 38psi. The light never came on either. The engine ran a bit cooler also. I did a lot of neighborhood driving to get it hot. Most of the time it idled around 45Psi. I found out they ran 10w40 or...
I have read there are significant changes between the '96 and '97 as far as parts. Mine is no where near stock though so I tell you how different they feel.
'97 Venom 650R no. 004
Great news. Once the engine cooled and wife was around to help pull the 4 pin hood, it just turned out to be a quart low. Goes to show never trust anything you hear such as " we checked it all out good". My bad for not pulling the hood day 1 though. Shame shame. I couldn't help but to jump in...
I have not changed the oil yet. I just got the car 2 weeks ago from Illinois. I do not hear any valve noises. The engine has 30K on it. I can't imagine that the engine would be worn so early would it? I heard Viper engines in Gen 1 & 2 were almost bullet proof. I hope it is just a needed oil...
Hey guys, I did a search for low oil pressure issues in the forums but it didn't come up with much at all. I was having a low idle issue that was resolved by the ECU re-learning the idle with and without the AC on. While I was having this issue, I noticed the oil light coming on when the RPMs...
A big shout out to troublemaker. It solved my idle issue. I took it out for a spin last night through the neighborhood and the engine RPMs never went below about 1K. Before, I was going all the way down and dying on me. That is the good news. The bad news is I noticed when I pulled in the garage...
Well the TPS re-learn didn't do the trick. I took it out for a joy ride and noticed it didn't want to idle as low with the AC off. I'll give troublemakers advice the next shot. I just this GTS from an out of state dealer. Good guys. They told me they will find someone local in North Houston area...
Hey guys, I am having this same problem (low idle and dies when stopped and engine is hot) and want to try to do the TPS trick to see if it works for myself also. Question is ViperTony says "repeat 2 & 3, Three more times." This quote is #3. Does he mean repeat 1 & 2, as in the ignition needs to...
Hello folks. I'm new here. I have purchased Philip Simms' 650R last week. I have to admit I didn't realize at the time the significance of the car. Since then I have read up on as much is available online about it. I feel very honored to say I will keep his car in memory of him, though I might...
