19 inch wheels question

Bought 2002 FE #324 about 5 weeks ago. Came with 19 inch wheels and rather large 345/30ZR19 rears .

Previous owner apparently had also made some emission upgrades and lowered gear ratio (3:55, I think).

Did the previous owner increase the wheel size to offset the upgrades (gears maybe) or is the wheel/tire upgrade totally unrelated???

Most people change wheel sizes for the looks, however the increased diameter 19" rear will raise your gear ration to about 3.45.

Have any pics of the car? Rather interested to see how the 345/30 look

Until Pirelli recently released a 25 series tire, the 345-30-19 Pilot was the only 19" tire that would "fit" (if the suspension is in full droop on a Gen II it will touch the front fender well) as the Bridgestone from the rear of the Enzo is too big for a Gen II (fits Gen III).

Going to take some digital pics of tires tomorrow after work. They look just awesome and are flush with the car's body. Any wider and they would not.
