In the press release DC mentions:

"Thanks to Brembo dual opposing-piston calipers front and back, the Viper can now brake from 60 mph to a stop in less than 100 feet, and go from a zero to 100 to zero in just over than twelve seconds."

Is that the same setup as the current Viper or something new? The term "Can now" implies new brakes.

We could be reading too much into this, but Paul's theory would be the easiest answer, and likely the most logical, as the superb brakes already came close to this goal. With 90 more horsepower and more speed, it makes sense that is was just enough to do the magic 12 second scenario. It would be easy for all of us to read into this paragraph and extrapolate that the new Snake now has a 4 channel system ( ABS ) , but with the heavy Compe Coupe outbraking virtually all the other cars in the World Challenge Series, it may not be a necessary expense ( or needed change )?

Just my humble opinion, but I do like Paul's train of thought and it is entirely sensible in the scheme of things we all know of.
