Will there be any changes on the 2009 Viper ( engine, trans, rear end ) , since the new vette zr1 has 638 hp

Yes, they will now allow fat, bald, ugly guys to drive a viper to keep up with the ZR1 sales.

There is an unused part of the 2008 Viper dash console that should house a button in 2009 called "ZR1 Defeat"

Push it and it will disable the supercharger on the car you are racing.

The heat-soak will probably do that for you!

Amen to the heat soak on the new ZR-1, twice around the track and you will leave him flat. I had a Z06, a spec miata, and a BMW M6 all three have to give it up due to hot engines. The ACR stayed in front, cool as a cucumber!
