anyone else notice the valve covers?

You must be registered for see images

they arent the valve covers we have known over the years. there appears to be a "bolt on" plate with the words "viper" on it. are the coil packs under this plate? can we assume that the plate is plastic?

Thanks! I've got a new desktop.
Big-Most likely they are indeed thermoplastic covers, since they won't conduct electricity, and won't hold as much heat as a metal cover. GM uses 'em, as does DCX, just pop the hood of a 6.1 SRT8.

When I first saw them I assumed they were plastic too, but it looks like there is a welded on **** on the front of the passenger side. If it was plastic they would have molded it in.

I love this new Viper !

This is one of the test Viper.
Check the header's color and the paint on the bolts.

It looks like it has got a full electical throttle body.
It smells the stability program for the 09 Viper.

Yep, each cylinder gets its own coil pack mounted to the value cover.
