Was at the local music store today to see if they had some special edition AC/DC stuff, ended up buying a dualdisc edition of Back In Black and a single of Stiff Upper Lip plus making a note to buy the Family Jewels DVD next month (containing all videoclips and some more rare stuff).
When I got into a conversation with the guy behind the desk and he told me that they are working on new material for a new album  Soon as I got home I did a google search and bingo:

No word on the start of recording but at least it's good news and I'm really looking forward to hear the result :nana:

Believe me my eyes grew the size of xxxl marbles when I heard it, and to think I was only there to look for neat stuff  At first I was thinking yeah right, Stiff Upper Lip tour was their last stint and they are now enjoying retirement.. man I am SOOOOOOO gonna make reservations for an upfront podium ticket plus backstage pass when the tour starts, I am so pumped up right now :D !
On the other side of the dualdisc is a DVD with "The story of Back in Black", some very cool background info on how the album got together during the time when Bon Scott died and Brian Johnson took over.

Aerosmith was my favorite band in the 70s but they sold out to MTV 20 years ago and have sucked ever since.

AC/DC will do it right, as well. They won't produce junk. Really never have.

Hey PatentLaw.. what's your favorite AC/DC song? Jailbreak? :)

Well they didn't break any patent laws to my knowledge. Sorry, it was funny (to me) for a second. It's been a long day..

But they sure tried or at least made it clear that they aren't getting along very well with the "type" (pay close attention to the lyrics of Rock And Roll Ain't Noise Pollution) ;)
One of my most favorite AC/DC songs? Let me put it in an original little story you must try on your wife or girlfriend ;) :

You just got the car and you come home from picking it up at the dealer or you come home from another day of work, appropriately wiping your Viper's tires on the pavement in front of the driveway. She still doesn't get why you like the car so much but you tell her to get in and hold on.
You leave with an insane, loud, earth scorching burnout, tailswinging around every corner and when you're on the highway the wife holds on to the door grab handle for dear life. At this point she is getting the point but she still doesn't fully get it. What do you do?
Grab the Blow Up Your Video album from the glove box in between the seats, put it in your stereo, select track two and turn the volume up to a decent level..

"THAT'S THE WAY I WANT MY ROCK N ROLL" :headbang:

    'Nuff said :nana:

... and yes, the inspiration from my screenname came from that song since it fits the Viper so well :2tu:

How come there are only 13 blasts in the 21-gun salute in "For Those About to Rock"?

    I just always wondered that.

    Favorite AC/DC song: Doubletime

    Regards,
    Aaron

They still had it in 1995. Ballbreaker. Great album. As good as Back in Black IMO. Looking forward to this new one.

Great... just great :( They announced their first appearance and set of tour dates to start in the U.S. October 28th so I will have to miss it.
All I can hope for now is that their first Dutch (or European for that matter) appearance will indeed be announced shortly and before the end of this year :smirk:
