I discovered something about the A/C on my car. Maybe you all know this but I did not. Our a/c does not have temperature control. The only control we have over A/C output is the fan speed. This may be satisfactory MOST of the time but when we want only a small amount of cooling, the output of the A/C is often too cold.
I have discovered that the A/C compressor is engaged when in the DEFROST mode and we do have temperature control there. It is not wonderful by any means but it does make the car a bit more comfortable when you don't need much cooling.
