clearance between gas tank and rear shelf in GTS

How close to the top is it. I'm thinking of drilling and mounting a video camera mount there for this weekend. hate to have a screw or bit go into the tank....that's just totally screw up my weekend.

I was just in mine and had about 1 3/4" to 2 " between the deck and top of tank. To be safe it only takes a few minutes to pull the carpet back and drill out the rivets just to be safe. I replaced the rivets with fender nuts and 1 1/4" long bolts.

that's quit a bit. I figure that I might go about 1/4" into the area. That's good news.
