\"Corrects Check Engine Lite\" continued

FYI........

Before you owners of 96.5-1999 Vipers w/ ck-lites go bonkers when you suddenly get a ck lite, be sure to have the lite de-coded by your Tech, or your own tool. Why?

Lately, a small few of our customers who recently installed ONLY a hi-perf cat back on their 1996.5 - 1999 Viper got a ck lite ! Made NO sense, really. They looked at sims, black boxes, and after market scanners. The fix? A NEW GAS CAP !

Or, a new gas cap and then later a new charcoal/fume cannister and pump. The DRP may say one code, and then the other!

It seems beyond coincidence, but the 'heavier breathing' on these "aging " 96.5-99s when re-exhausted seems to somehow overpower the gas cap seals and/or cannister. I even needed a cap on my 96...I had lost one 3 years ago, and so NOW have a 3rd....
