Cortlandt Manor, Sunday. The show that could\'ve been....

Guys:

First off I want to appologize for not being at the meeting place at the right time. No excuses, just that it was not avoidable. I was off by about 5 minutes. I should have had Mr. President's Cell Phone. My bad.

Second, Thanks for coming up on an "if" weather day to support me and I hope you all consider it again next year. You have my word: There will be much better planning, better weather, and more to do for everyone.

Anyway, the weather actually did clear by 4:00 and there was a nice breeze, Mob Hits 1 CD playing loud, some beers, and a good time. TO bad it was only me left and the passer-by's that were looking for the cars but figured the rain contributed to screwing up the day. Someone in a V-12 Mercedes actually drove down from Boston for the show. The guy is in the market for a Viper, '99 or '00.

Hope the Pizza was good.

Actually, the "extra miles were great fun! Once you showed us where the place was, it too close for a "spirited cruise" anyway :D . I was just under a bit of pressure since we were "escorting" a large group of corvettes.

The food was great...just wish the weather wasn't so darn threatening. When the TV at the restaurant flashed "THUNDERSTORMS, RAIN, HAIL AND OTHER ACTS OF GOD" it sort of brought out the "Tiger" in all of us.

Thanks for the fun day Andrew! :2tu: And please give Peter our thanks too. I'm guessing that next time we'll make the destination for a nice long cruise. As I mentioned, I only wish the parking lot were a little bit bigger for an autocross. ;)

For those guys that drive down the FDR Drive to meet at 34th & 1st the morning of events like these, I usually mention that the Drive is "wet" from the construction.

Well....today it was a bit "wetter" than usual.

Steve seemed to hold off some fast vettes the devil driver that he is. Plum all the vette guys were looking for you.
Don't worry I advised them that your car wasn't feeling strong early that morning so you decided to drop in a Twin Turbo 510 stroker motor. Anyway everyone was asking for you, wish you could have made it.

Charlie, to save me from opening it every two seconds for people to see where the Nx bottles are, and to store pies.
