This is going to be a joint event with the Arizona Club and will be a great event !

Friday morning,
October 21,
our club will caravan to Arizona. We will be staying at the beautiful, new (please click this link)Talking Stick Casino and Resort in Scottsdale..

Friday evening we will meet the Arizona Club at the famous PINNACLE PEAK PATIO STEAKHOUSE in Scottsdale. This place is famous for its "no necktie policy" and boasts a collection hanging from their rafters of around a million ties cut from unsuspecting diners over the past 47 years. This has always been "the place to go to" when visiting the Scottsdale area. The Arizona Club has made special arrangements for our two Clubs to enjoy dinner together at 6:30. Dinner will consist of salad, BBQ steak, chicken, baked potato, beans and dessert. ****Please let us know if you would like a vegetarian meal ****

Saturday morning, the Arizona club will meet us at our hotel at 7:30AM and at 8:00 we will all leave for a day cruise to Sedona. Since Sedona is a busy LITTLE town and parking is always a challenge, they have arranged for lunch at SLIDE ROCK STATE PARK, catered by Red Rock BBQ. (veggie burgers are on the menu also) The Park offers a 0.3 mile trail of moderate difficulty if anyone is interested in a short hike.

After lunch you are free to enjoy Sedona on your own. There's hiking, shopping, art galleries, etc. BRING YOUR CAMERAS! This is truly a magnificent and unique piece of the world to enjoy.

We will return home on Sunday. Room reservations to be made for Friday & Saturday nights for this event.

ROOM RESERVATIONS ARE NOW OPEN!
Please call in and tell them that you are with theSouthern California Viper Club and you will get the special rate of $125.00 866-877-9897 The Club has to BUY the rooms in blocks of 10. Once the first 10 rooms are reserved and paid for, we will TRY to procure another block of 10 rooms. It is important that we do this sooner than later!!! As we draw closer to October, the special rate will continue to go up in ratio to the hotel rate, which could potentially reach $200.00

Shaping up to be a great cruise. The Walking Stick Hotel is a pretty classy place to stay, and a bargain at the price.

The weather tends to be fantastic in October. With kids back in school, slide rock will be a fun place to visit.

Thanks to our Arizona Viper Brothers for inviting us to join them in this cruise.

Most definitely a HUGE Thank You to the Arizona Club for putting this event together.
It is going to be quite a sight with all our Vipers taking over the little town of Sedona.

What a great weekend! My sincere thanks to all of you that made the trip over to join us for our run to Sedona, you made the event really special! Here in AZ, we don't often assemble 26 Vipers for a cruise, and I was a little concerned about being able to keep everyone together. Except for an unfortunate mechanical problem one of your members experienced early in the cruise, the group did an excellent job staying together, and that made everything soo much easier! It was wonderful seeing old friends and making new ones - what a great group of people! We thoroughly enjoyed your company, and look forward to getting together with SoCal again, hopefully this next year, and this time we'll come your way. Lance - we'll coordinate on that! My apologies about the parking situation in the town of Sedona (now you know why we scheduled lunch at Slide Rock), as you saw, it is a very popular place, especially this time of year! Thanks again to your club for your thoughtful gift of the coolers! Hope you all made it home without incident, and if I can help in any way with your disabled vehicle here, let me know.

On behalf of the entire So Cal Club, I'd like to Thank the Arizona Club for hosting this event.
All the planning for the dinner, cruise, lunch and special parking was perfect and we all had a great time.
Getting to spend time with your members and forging new friendships is what it is all about. We look forward to doing another event with you very soon.

Here are a few pictures from this GREAT event.

Yup....Gen 3 McViper.

Everyone had such a great time at this event. There was so much to take in between all the cool Vipers, meeting new members, fall colors, awesome driving roads and the incredible Sedona rock formations.

And yes the Buffet was very good !!

A Gen III McViper indeed.

Owner painted them himself in his garage. Looked terrific, and got lots of positive comments.

He is now looking for a "Prancing Snake" emblem for his fenders as came on the originals.

Makes a common run of the mill red vert into a real conversation piece.

Mustard and Ketsup!
