I have one too.... not the rarest of the Bburago's, but a question I still have is.... Is it fictional or based on something real?

Yes it is real. Bobby Archers Viperspeed car from 1999 World Challenge GT series. Happened to win the drivers championship that year, also winning the first 2 races. There is also a 1/64th version. Search with google.
