We have a new gasket design that we have been using... and it takes no prisoners. This is a gasket designed for HUGE horsepower of the 1000+ variety.
Based on the incredibly successful MLS gasket we have been using in everything from Gen-1 to Gen-4 in just about any application, these take one step further up the chain. They incorporate the same "lifter provisions" we make in all of our Gen-2/3/4 gaskets, but they also include a "stopper layer". This is an extra thick layer around the cylinder, effectively equivalent to O-Ringing the block/heads. This layer concentrates the stud's pulling force around the cylinder, rather than wasting it in areas it is not needed. These gaskets have all of the same benefits of metal O-Rings, but do not require block modifications. Also, since they are being used with a non-conforming MLS gasket instead of the common copper gaskets in this application, they do not have a finite life span as the wires work their way into the Copper layers and they lose sealing ability.
These gaskets are the ultimate in Viper head sealing capability, with no downside to their use.
