I need help on warranty on side sills. ..Please give advice..

I know..I know..there has been numerous subjects on this and I did do a search. I went a Chrysler dealership and they called the engineering team and said there was no fix ot TSB for it. They even said that there was only six reported cases nation wide on side sills turning yeloow. I know this is wrong! My car has two months left on the factory warranty.

What should I do? Please help. I feel like I am being taken here.

My GT-2 is due to be picked up tomorrow from the local
Dodge dealer...warranty (ie no cost) is covering side sill repaint due to yellowing around the cat. area on each side.

As per other VCA folks that had yellowed side sills, you need
to spray paint the inside of the sills with "VHT 1500" high temp
insulating paint to ensure it does not happen again. Dodge
does not pay for this...just go to your local speed shop and
pick up a can of it.

ab, There are covered under Warranty! I've been hearing that alot of Dealers don't want to the job? It dose not make any sense to me! It's a gravy job! You've got to get to better Dealer! Call your VCA Pres. maybe he/she can help!

Call Nancy Shanno ( Viper / Prowler Accessory and Service Mgr )at 1-800-889-1893. We just did a 98 Silver GTS under warranty and I am sure she can walk you through it or tell you who to contact. She might be able to talk to your dealer.

I just had my white side sills repainted due to yellowing, new insulation put in, stainless rivets installed and all under warranty by dealer.

They didn't give me any trouble at all.

Would it help to use the new Corsa 3" exhaust to reduce heat in the side sills? Do they use high flow cats?

One TSB # for sidesill corrosion is 23-59-97.
This covered 92-97 Vipers.

You indeed need a new dealer. Maybe even an out-of-state on who will arrange to "Exchange" the warranty parts with you ? Then install your self?

My 1999 GTS (silver) has yellowing side sills too - I think it is the cat (EU-model) - the side sills are so hot - I'm afraid the side sills will burn some time...?

I just try to get the side sills repaired under warranty. Yet not finished my negotiations with DC...
However, I will switch to high-flow-cats etc before I replace the side sills.
