We have a history of working with the Illinois Fatherhood Initiative (IFI), a charity focused on connecting children and fathers by promoting responsible fathering and helping equip men to become better fathers. The IFI hosts an annual Celebrity Golf outing to raise money for its charity. David Hirsch (Viper Club of Illinois member) has asked us to play a role each year by creating a Viper display, giving rides, etc… The next Celebrity Golf outing is Wednesday, July 8th. The Viper Club has been asked if they would once again be involved.

The venues are fantastic and we bump into a lots of interesting people (I remember saying hi to Ditka). This time around they have confirmed Richard Dent, Kevin Butler, Jim Thorton, Patrick McCaskey, Stan Mikita, Randy Hundley, Bob Love, and a host of others. We’ve been asked to have a number of Vipers volunteer to put their cars on display to create a nice backdrop. This will be near the cocktail hour as folks finish their games and attend the charity dinner. The event is being held in Barrington at the Makray Memorial Golf Club (1010 S. Northwest Highway, Barrington, IL 60010).

We plan to arrive at 4:30pm (please no later). Once dinner begins, those who don’t plan on staying for dinner can go (should be near 6:00pm). If you’d like to stay, you can do the dinner, watch the show, and have open bar for $100. I plan to stay along with a few others. Dinner should end around 8:30 or so. Let us know if you plan to attend and if you’ll also do the dinner.

PS As a special offer from IFI, we’ve been provided several spots for a day of golf, the dinner, and open bar for $200! If you’re interested in doing the full day, see the below registration. Tee off is at 12:00pm.
