How to Get Your Passport in a Hurry

How to Get Your Passport in a Hurry :D :D :D :D :D

Expedited Service

  • Cost, in addition to regular application fees, is $60 per application plus overnight delivery costs.
  • Two-way overnight delivery is strongly suggested.
  • If you submit Form DS-82 by mail - clearly mark "EXPEDITE" on the outside of the envelope.
  • Anyone may request expedited service for any type of application (e.g., first-time applications, renewals, amendments of existing passports, etc.) See:
  • Please note, passport applications sent together or at the same time do not necessarily remain together.
  • Your passport book and/or your passport card may be mailed separately from your returned citizenship evidence.
See Application Processing Times for current processing times.
Routine Service

  • Include your departure date on your application.
See Application Processing Times for current processing times.

I believe this is the first time the IL VCA does a Niagara event, but I may be wrong....Alex?

Have been to the Falls several times and it was always a very good time!
One of the things you have to see at least once in your live.

A bit colder than we expect it to be, but still neat to look at ! ;.)

Nope, we've definitely never done an event in Niagara. In fact we've never hosted an event anywhere near this far. About 10 hour drive for us.

The tally stands at 75 cars and 156 people. We are now nearing our capacity for the event. A reminder to please sign up. Our limit will be 200 people.

I just cleared my calendar for this event, made the hotel reservation this past Sunday, and sent the check off to Alex yesterday. We'll be trailering up from Maryland, but can't leave until Wed. afternoon, so we'll be a late arrival Wed. night. Looking forward to seeing you all there!

The time is nearing! I was reading the reviews on the hotel. One question on my mind is the parking situation. I but was hoping someone who's in the know can post as what the parking situation will be how it will work. Will it be on site at the Hotel casino or 4 blocks away where they park the cars normally? Will there be security watching our cars?

The Hotel actually has it's own underground lot which is under our hotel. We've worked with the hotel to get the Vipers all in one section of this lot. There is little pedestrain traffic there so not a ton of people will be passing through. They also have an external lot, this is where the folks with trailers and trucks can park their rigs.

The hotel will have security during the day. The crime rate is incredibly low in this area in general, we believe things will be just fine. The underground lot is Viper friendly so even people with lowered cars like me should be ok.

Alex,
Any suggestions for those of us trailering across the border? I have been across the border many times but never with a enclosed trailer in tow. Do you have to use the truck lane to go through customs? Thanks for any info.

I almost always have the car in the enclosed trailer while crossing. You don't need the truck lane but do try to choose the widest lane as it will be squishy. Truck is normally for commercial only. Try to look for the Bus or RV lane. All is just as you normally would but they will ask what is in the trailer and they will likelly want to see what is in there. May be wise to have it unlocked for easy access. Other than that there should be no issues! You have 100 other Vipers there! :D

If you need more info, let me know!

I'm also told to have things unlocked and not get out of your car when they start to look through your vehicle and trailers.

I have a seat open in my Viper in case somebody wanted to drive their Viper and they were '1' extra on their count haha.

Just thought I would offer, they can ride with me, I'll be meeting up with the IL group as they head to Detroit.

My question is does Ontario require "Hands Free" for cellphones? I actually installed a Bluetooth Premiere Stereo into my Viper because I drive so many places where the cell phone is illegal when driving. New laws here next month should be OK if you buy this $.05 hands free kit?
