The big question is: what color(s) :eater:

You just know that the poor thing will be driven to bits. I will add my thanks to SRT and the VCA!

I am curious. I read the announcement, but they didn't say which seat, the left or the right one?

They didn't say the car would be moving, either! Marv's post makes it sounds like we can literally just sit in it. I'm hoping we can actually drive it!

Here's the email:

Will you get seat time in a 2013 Viper at VOI 12?

You will if you are a registered attendee for the 12th Viper Owner Invitational happening September 27-30 in Charlotte, NC! That's right, through a very special arrangement with our friends at SRT there will be a select few 2013 Viper pilot cars available for you to experience firsthand, but only if you have registered for the event at www.voi12.com. Those that attended VOI 7 in Nashville in 2002 may recall being some of the first in the world to experience the new 2003 SRT10. As a result, the entire production of the 2003 model year was sold out - and all to existing Viper owners. Don't miss this incredible opportunity or you may not get a chance like this again until the next VOI in a few years or you take delivery of your own Gen 5!

Of course that's not all you will experience at VOI 12 - not by a long shot. For the first time in VOI history, we will be running down a 4-lane drag strip: the zMAX Dragway, home of the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals. Called "the Bellagio of drag strips", the venue will also feature a professional instructor who regularly drives the Viper-powered Drag Pak Challenger. Prefer more turns? You can get your fill running the road course inside the Charlotte Motor Speedway, a course that just happens to include three quarters of the NASCAR oval. Count on more track time than usual too, as both tracks are less than five minutes from the host hotels - no 45-minute drives each way.

For those that want something a little tamer, the autocross set up will be a lot of fun for everybody and great for some friendly competition. You will also get the chance to experience all the other fantastic SRT vehicles such as the Grand Cherokee SRT8, Challenger SRT8, Charger SRT8, and the 300 SRT8. And who knows? You just might be one of the lucky few to get a ride around the speedway with SRT ALMS drivers Kuno Wittmer or Dominik Farnbacher!

Like every Viper Owner Invitational there is great food, a wonderful scenic cruise with some of the best stops we have ever done, and an offsite Friday night dinner that will land you in automotive nirvana - a playground like no other on earth. The Saturday night SRT dinner will feature special guest Ralph Gilles with the latest Viper news - and the traditional Ode to Viper.

Of course there are the merchandise exhibits to get your fill of all things Viper from folks like Dodge Motorsports, Pirelli, Roe Racing, NARRA, Tomball Dodge, and many more. All will be at the spectacular Concord Convention Center adjacent to the beautiful Embassy Suites Golf Resort and Spa. Just don't lose yourself driving a virtual 2013 Viper - our friends from Microsoft Studios will even have Forza kiosks set up for you to check out! And of course you will also be taking home the usual VOI swag, with a goodie bag you will be bragging about for many months to come.

Just remember that the only way you will get to experience this first hand is to register for VOI 12 at www.voi12.com . Unique credentials, wristbands, and vehicle decals will be provided at registration and checked at every venue. There are no spectators allowed, so you can't just "stop by" and do a walk through or expect to see anything from outside the fence. There is something for everybody that is a registered attendee - we are even throwing in optional go kart drives and maybe even some high-speed laps in a NASCAR-style car with the Petty Driving Experience. The Sunday charity auction donations could really amaze some folks, but you must be paid for that dinner to attend the auction.

So be sure to register today at www.voi12.com . Three of the host hotels are now sold out, but there are still a few rooms left at other host properties if you hurry. Note that you won't be able to book the discounted VOI hotel rates after August 24th - and you can only book discounted rooms if you are a registered VOI 12 attendee. The event registration itself ends in just a few short weeks, so don't be kicking yourself by missing the registration deadline - there are no "walk ups" or onsite registrations at the event.

We will see you in Charlotte!

I don't recall getting any Gen 3 seat time at VOI7 in Nashville, though I did climb into the engine bay on the one on display for a photo op!

DIBBS !

Looks like VCA members will have driving impressions before any of the magazines...how cool is that.

That's "kinda" the catch, so I doubt that we'll be running any "hot laps" on the high speed oval! Got to be very careful on this subject.....

All things considered though, this should be fun.
