Just what are the rules regarding roll bars/cages?

Can anyone let me know what the rules are at a NHRA sanctioned strip regarding the issue of speed/time and open topped vehicles?

I have a roll bar on my 2005 SRT. What are the official limitations as to when I need a roll cage? And yes, the biggest one is my Viper's operator. Next...?
