Sorry these are a bit late, it's been pretty hectic here of late! Last Sunday (4/23/06) we had our Sixth Annual Dyno Day at MC Racing in Kansas City. We had a few cars missing in action, including Yours Truly (and you will have to wait for that story). Gave us plenty of time to get multiple runs in and even bring a couple non-Vipers to check out. And as we always do for our Kansas City members, it is FREE, including lunch!
So, without further delay here are your cars and results, in order that they dyno'ed:
First up, Darrin and his strong GTS:
Then Dan, with his amazing Gen I and inexpensive mods:
Then our other Dan with his beautiful blue & white:
Ron got to run his RT/10 for the first time:
Then Mark schooled us with his Roe-powered GTS:
But then he got a little schooling of his own with Tim's Paxton powered SRT-10:
Bill showed up with his wife's Porsche and got pushed into going home for his GTS:
Kurt with his stunning RT/10, slightly penalized with 3.55 gears:
Having gotten the low dyno of the day to that point, Ron took his Gen I home and brought back his truck:
And what many think was the surprise of the day: Chad's bone stock '96:
Mark took his Roe beast home and brought back the new daily driver:
And we talked Corey into going home for his always-strong SRT-10:
So there you have it! We were once again blessed by Doug Levin Motorsports and they generously supplied our trophies. And your winners are:
From left to right:
Dan - Top Gen I (1993)
Tim - King of the Dyno (2004 SRT-10)
Ron - "Baby Steps" award (1995)
Mark - Top Gen II (1998)
Corey - Top Gen III (2005)
We had a GREAT time and are looking forward to hosting similar events in both Iowa and Nebraska shortly. And as with Kansas City, they will be FREE to all paid KC VCA members. We hope to see you there!
