I think painting would be difficult and you probably would not be happy with the results.

I would recommend power coating even though you will be without your wheels for a while. You might be able to pay a little more for a rush order to quickly get you back on the road.

There should be several powder coating shops in Dallas or I would recommend Allied Powder Coating in Houston.

Be careful with clear powdercoating, I had some motorcycle wheels done and it didn't look to good and flaked badly. If you do it make sure you see sample work first. I ended up having the wheels silver anodised --- looked good and didn't corrode.
