Lawyer recommendation speeding ticket Long Island

So.....decide to air out the GTS today on the Northern State Parkway as I have done a few thousand times but a parkway cop objected to it.

Got a 90 in a 55 speeding ticket which is plus +31 so requires an appearance. Not good.
Anyone use or know of a local trafffic lawyer to help get it knocked down or better?

First offense with no other moving violations in 25 years....ouch..

Oh, and for good measure he through in a no front pplate as well.....thanks!!

Best course of action please.

Definately get a lawyer, ask some of your friends in the town, probably google search your location. Any decent lawyer should hopefully get it knocked down, especially with no priors. I also use a guy here in KY and it always is defective equipment, basically they just want my money, probably the same in your case, good luck.

Done some research and found a lawyer right in the same building practically who does this work.
Unfortunately the court which has jurisdiction on this is a no plea court.

In Suffolk county at large, most tickets will put you at TVB in Hauppauge. The
TVB system is used QUEENS and throughout the 5 boroughs NYC as well. TVB is
usually the worst court to be in because there are, with a very rare exception,
no plea bargains allowed, so you cannot plead guilty to a lesser charge. It's
win or lose at TVB.

So it's guilty, innocent or dismissed.
We're going for dismissed.

Once again, can't be done in this court jurisdiction.
They do not plea bargain, lawyer or no lawyer in the "TVB" court system.
I have hired a lawyer however if for no other reason than appear for me rather than take time off work.
And to drag it out as long as possible.
My bad luck it happened in this courts jurisdiction.

Did he get you on radar? If it was POP radar I heard it says in the manual
"non-evidential" and "citations should not be issued based solely on information derived from the POP burst,"
But you cant plea so... I wish you the best.

Guess I'm lucky I wasn't 40 over (which is only 95 MPH.)
Thats an 11 pointer mandatory license revocation.
I'm only looking at a 8 pointer.

Here's something to ponder next time you're ripping down the highway.

With the lawyer, fines, surcharges and fee's this one time speeding ticket will cost me in excess of $2000.00
NOT including the increased insurance rate if I lose the case.

Yeah with a speeding ticket they can name their punishment price and your defenseless because it's such a "crime".
Not bad enough the initial fines, for the next three years you have to pay a driver assessment fee $150.00 as a reminder you sinned.
It's truly a gift that keeps on giving.

You can take 3 point off your record if you go to traffic school here...I did it online so it was easy.
check into that option.

You can probably get that postponed too...

You really have to know someone or at least someone who knows someone. Maybe you can claim that you're a member of some persecuted group of victims or something Perhaps you're being targeted because the viper is the king of the ring or something...
