Hello Viper Family. Left in 2012 for a 2013 GTR. Thinking of returning home with a 2013 gts with 2600 miles on it. My 04 viper threw a rod due to low oil and I had to replace the motor, ever since Ive been a bit nervous. It seems like I read on here about Gen Vs prior to 2015 having "heart attacks". Any advice on this or a good warranty?

Lots of posts about this issue on the web. The 2013 and 2014 cars which were subject to the r28 recall (not all were) should have an extended factory powertrain warranty to 10 years. Otherwise, buy the 8 year Chrysler extended warranty.

Thanks for the response, I was on my way to get a 2013 with 2500 miles for 78k at a Dodge dealer in Wisconsin since it was close to my home in Illinois, on the way out the door, ran a carfax, it came back as a buyback/Lemon. So now Im getting a 2015 out of Georgia.

Yes, that dealer seems to specialize in buyback Gen V Vipers. There is a market; but, not for me, either.
