Hello, mind if I ask a quick question.....

My son is going to New York on a school trip this Thursday 1/26/12

They plan to do the usual sights, Empire State building, Ground Zero, Broadway etc But I have no Idea what to pack clothing wise?
Will he need Snow Boots and Ski type gear? or will that look out of place! Street cred for a 16yr old is a serious business :D

What would you advise?

Thanks Mark UK

Mark-
He couldn't have picked a better weekend considering it's January.
Latest weather report this morning is mid upper 40's both days, clear and dry.
All the snow has melted as today and yesterday are 50+ degrees.
Rain on Friday but another warm day.

It should be a great weekend for being outside without the bitter cold!

He's Back! We now have an NY Giants American Football, Baseball cap, NY Yankees Baseball cap and a bottle of route beer purchased at Times square :D

Needless to say he had a great time :1up:

He loved it, Ive looked at some of the photos, I will post a few up soon. He did not want to come home, he found most of the people very polite and friendly, he also got lots of compliments at the Airport for wearing a Giants Baseball cap and wearing his new American sports clothes. As usual in any City you have to careful you dont get taken for a ride, it seemed there were some tour guides in orange jackets (empire state building) trying to get you to buy over valued tickets, a couple of his friends got caught out paying extra :(
