Hello VCA,
My name is Murray and live in Victoria, TX and I just purchased my first Viper after wanting one for almost 10 years. I have a 2006 vert, Slate Chrystal, no stripes, 5 spoke wheels. Car has 3800 miles and was purchased from Valley Dodge in Boulder, CO. All I can I say when I get the smile off my face is that I love this car!!!!
I called and joined VCA and was told I should get my number this Friday.

Welcome!!! I'm sure your Viper will enjoy the 5000 foot decrease in altitude. :D

When you get your member number, shoot me another PM and we'll get your profile upgraded.

Thanks, will do.

I already purchased the front license plate bracket from Partsrack since I live in Tx. My car has the original Pilot Sports on it and after reading many post on here it sounds like I should get those off and replaced with PS2's.

Greatest thing about owning this car where I live is that there are not very many Vipers. I have only seen one Gen3 white/no stripes and for the first time last Saturday on the way to my sons soccer game there was a 97 B/W GTS. I was trying to hang around a little to see who owned it but by the time my sons game started and was over, the car was gone. I'll be on the lookout again this Saturday.

Victoria is about 2 hours southwest of Houston, 2 hours southeast of San Antonio and 2-1/2 hours south of Austin. So if I was to hang with fellow Viper owners, looks like I'll have to drive a little.

Murray, welcome to VCA. Watch your mail for our 'new customer' doo-dad.

Not many Vipers indeed! Vipers took 16+ years to build 25,000......Corvettes build 25,000 in about 9 months.

P.S..... your 06 has Pilot Sport RUN-FLATS.....and while they are still great tread at 3+ years old, they provide a harsh ride, and have been shown and claimed here to have handling deterioration after 3+ years of repeated heat cycling...... If you choose PS-2, you will 'transform' your ride and traction and handling for about $1650.....

and PS, late edit: despite Venomiss referral below, we DONT charge sales tax......

She's a beauty, enjoy the hell out of it, but remember speed kills, and so does lousy driving.
Respect the beast.

+1 to this! Not sure what your background is with the powerful cars, but the Viper can bite! Watch out for cold tires and heavy throttle application in turns With so much low-end torque, the back end can get pretty squirrely if you get on it in a turn. We want that son of yours enjoying his dad (and the car) for a long, long time!

Have a great time with that Viper!!!
