no resolve for customers

    as requested on the thread, "nothing but problems" i was told by vipair to take roof to Cantrell for refund , after i was told to take it to Canada for return, i delivered it 1300km to cantrell they had no idea i was dropping it off. I requested my refund and was told that if i call him names( crook) he will charge me again. No refund has been received and he now has the roof and the money,and all the bogus requests have been met, and no refund of customers money. This thread will be most likely closed as any negative posts are closed. BEWARE :mad:

    yes it is still going on, i cannot get my funds back. All i get is threats of prosecution. I have granted all of the requests and refuse to let anyone blatantly rip me off, i now have more funds invested than the original price with gas and time off, but refuse to let him get away with it.

    Situations like this are better handled in a court than a forum. If you feel you have a case then sue him. There's not a lot that will get acomplished here other than venting.

    I disagree. I've finally figured out that I'll proably never deal with Steve again. I hope others have better luck trying to contact him. It's all good until your money is taken and then the dialog gets real slow.

    Steve , you will not answer any calls, you are on the web site all the time as you know it shows who is online at any time. I have conformed to all your stupid requests and you still will not return my 2500.00. You have repeatedly threaten me with prosecution and you seem to think that theft of 2500.00 is OK. You seem to have no moral compass and the viper club gives you a venue to pull your scam, it must be nice to live off others money. Return my funds ASAP. This is not going to go away and YOU are pushing for other routes to be taken, man up and do what you say you will do.:mad::mad:

    This is another update to keep this thread on the top of the pool so that others are informed, its been another 2 weeks and no refund from gts-r-001 or (Vipair , Steve Prescott). I cannot gt him to answer a phone call or private message, he is always on this site looking for new fish. We need to be responsible to our friends and other members and let others know about dishonest vendors and crooked vendor practices.:mad::mad:

    I have e mailed the Prez of Vca, as Steve seems to have a friends on the monitoring part of the Vca , most negative posts get deleted or closed and put down the line.The reply was that it is too bad that that has happened and they hope it gets rectified. I am note the only one that has had issues with Steve, i have received a few calls and e mails from others. It seems that he has a protective bubble and is still able to advertise on the Vca site and not have to address his shady business practices. that is why i'm trying to keep this post on the top, 400 + have read this post and i hope i prevent others from getting ripped off.

    This should have been handled one way or another some time ago...lets have resolution in the Viper ranks.

    That didn't make any sense..

    I think Steve is probably a good guy...he's just got his hands into too many items and not enough time and support. He would probably like to have the highest quality of viper aftermarket parts, but IMO, he's spread too thin.

    That's your opinion, check out the thread with the pictures of the roof, the quality speaks for him. anyone can send parts to china and get them cloned, shafting the people that took the time to develop and test and refine for a useable product. That is theft its self, bottom line is as soon as the product was received i called him, he said to take it home and he will deal with it when he comes to my area, then he would not take calls for 3 months, then i posted on the VCA, he also convinced me to purchase a set of headers that he had sold, then 2 people with knowledge posted also, he then sent threatening pm's to them and then called the R.C.M.P. to charge me with threats, he then posted that he wanted me to drive the roof 1300km for return , so i did. Still no contact or refund.Does that sound like a guy that's trying, i think not!!!.:mad::mad::mad:

    by the way, the headers were also brutal quality. none of the holes lined up, bad threads, head to flange filament was way off, all had to be re drilled and threaded, 2.5 8 hr days to install.

    There have been no phone calls made by Mike to me as he has stated above. I would put the challenge out for Mikerae to post one phone bill that shows even one phone call made to me in the last 2 months. I have received numerous threatening and profane text messages though.

    This entire issue has already been dealt with, Mike was instructed to deliver the hardtop to the address I shipped the top to. The people at that shop, (the shop that Mike hired, not me) were to look at the top when delivered by Mike to them and then I would process a return based on their report as to use and condition as per my return terms.

    Out of the blue, with no notice and the first communication I had from Mike in a month, On the morning of Sept 26th I received the following text message from Mike ( I don't expect much of this to show up on this site due to the G rating of this site)

    "Hey you ****n crook, your
    piece of **** roof is at
    XXXX, give me my
    ****ing money *******"

    I have XXX'd out the name of the shop as they called me a couple of hours later and said that they did not want to be involved., and even though I had it arranged for them to look at the top they now did not want to do anything anymore.

    Even though Mike posted above in Post #1 that the shop knew nothing about an arrangement, he had his friend Drew call the shop a couple of weeks after his initial thread, the shop said that Drew confirmed the arrangement to drop off the top and then stated that he did not want to be involved. I also confirmed with the shop owner that Mike also confirmed the arrangement to drop the top there, even though Mike states above "they had no idea i was dropping it off"

    This is the same shop that had finally installed the wing and splitter that Mike had ordered from Jon B and then Mike charged back his credit card and had a fight with Jon and Dodge over the parts, the credit card company finally refused the charge back and forced Mike to take the parts (according to the story I heard from Mike at the time) So this shop has/had intimate knowledge of dealings with Mike.

    The shop graciously allowed the top to stay there so that I could arrange shipping back to me though, and shipping has been arranged for the top to travel back to California. Once it arrives here I will review its condition and issue a refund that is reflective of its condition and in accordance with my terms and conditions and within the time frame outlined in my terms and conditions.

    The top was originally going to be exchanged for a new one, but then one day Mike emailed " [FONT=Calibri, Verdana, Helvetica, Arial]the height to low for a helmet it is of no use to me[/FONT]" so now he needed to return it, he wanted to return it to a Canadian address which I was going to allow, but, I had to check the ramifications of exporting a product that I did not import and in the meantime Mike decided to threaten to send Bikers after me, at that point, the decision was made to have Mike follow my terms and conditions to the letter. I did deviate from these by allowing him to ship to the address I shipped to versus shipping back to me as my term describe.

    MikeRae made numerous threats, I could post them here, but they are not reflective of what any other Viper owner I know of would say or do and they are an embarrassment to all VCA members.

    The threats Mike made were forwarded to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the RCMP took the threats seriously enough to go have a serious talk with Mike and give him a warning. The RCMP had asked me if I wanted to press formal charges but I told them not to, but if he continued with his threats I would press formal charges.

    Mike has since sent numerous texts of a very profane nature and he was again warned by me to stop his text messaging of threats and profanity. My exact text back to him was

    "If you swear or call me names
    again I will press charges on you"

    I cannot think of any parts vendor that would even consider taking a return from this person after the threats he has spewed and the behavior he has exhibited. He bought a top, He said he wasn't happy with it, I offered for him to return it right away or to have it exchanged in the future, he chose to use it. He used the top, and drove thousands of miles with it. I am still taking it back, but I am not going to bow down to his bully tactics and threats. He has to follow the terms and conditions of sale as on my site, just like any other vendor would make him follow. His ability to post derogatory statements and remarks on this site does not change this and will not change this.

    I have made donations to this club that are significant, very significant and have asked for nothing in return, the officers of this club can verify this statement and numerous regions have benefited directly from my donations.

    I, as a vendor and a member of the VCA since 2000 am embarrassed by the behavior of this member, it is not reflective of Viper owners I know or have dealt with.

    I have never pulled the "terms and conditions of sale card" from my site in the past with anyone when they have wanted to return something, but in this case, I am. The terms must be followed, period. The threats and BS have exceeded my tolerance level so he must follow the rules. I have already allowed Mike to return the item to where I shipped it to versus back to me, this is the only concession I am making in this case.

    I take exception to someone threatening to send Bikers to my door, made by text message.

    I take exception to his further texts with more threats.

    I take exception to someone sending threatening text messages and profanities by text message, over and over again.

    I take exception to someone threatening to send bikers and then claiming that it was actually VCA members he was sending, that would "act" like Bikers. All because he had to return the top to where he got it from versus being allowed to drop it off in Canada. He could not prove it was legally imported and I was not about to take this risk for someone that behaves such as Mike has.

    I take exception to Mike's behavior entirely, but I am still processing a refund after I receive the top and review it.

    I have addressed this behavior of Mike's with the President of the VCA,

    I have put a call and an email into the Western Canadian regional president as well and will address the claims and threats with Jim Tait as well,
