no sir, that has been the cause of many leaks from that fitting, ours does away with the fitting and you actually get a new valve to go into the pump itself, we have sent out many kits to viper owners and supply dealerships line kits for installation on the cars and trucks.

    thanks

The product description says "For off-road use only" - what does that mean exactly for a power steering fluid line?

We are required to put that in the description for liability issues since it is part of the steering components

we dont know the mechanical experience of some of to whom we are selling, and although installation is straight forward and fairly easy,

it is suggested that an experienced tech do the install

We make it as easy an install as we can with the best components, and constantly upgrading them

as we strive for the best. We actually jsut changed the fitting that connects to the power steering pump to a one piece

unit, which replaces the flow valve in the pump for easier installation and less prone for leakage.

We have sold thousands of these in the past few years, and tons to actual dealers, We had a dealer tell us the other

day that he had a problem vehicle in his shop that they had installed 2-3 sets of oem lines and still had problems, he called

dodge hot line and they forwarded him to us, whether true or not , I cant say, jsut what he told me.

But if anyone ever has a problem with the install, I am usually available 24/7/365

below is some pics of ones we did in blue for a customer.

I just had these installed in my 03' and they look great. Very high quality. I didn't do the install myself because lack of tools but it doesn't seem too hard. If anyone is on the fence about this, look at it this way. A new OEM line and connector from a dealer is about $300. This kit replaces two lines and actually fixes the issue instead of just prolonging another failure with the OEM setup. I also made a call to JTS and they have great customer service. thanks again.

I just replaced my power steering pump a few months ago. If I had known about these then, I would have done it while I was in there.
May get around to it this winter during some down time. Although I just bought a trailer and think I might get out of hand with customizing it. I tend to have that problem. ;)

    Just a warning to all,

if ordering from JTSVP this holiday season, you package may be sent signature required

sorry if this causes an inconvenience but there is a holiday problem of

folks following the delivery trucks around and stealing packages as they are left

at homes, just another way we are trying to look out for our customers.

    thanks
    Stinker

Do you sell the lines individually? The only one I need is the pump to fan line.

..........This is a difficult market to survive in.
If you can't just type JTS Venom in your search engine and have their info come up, the may have found out how hard it is to have a business like that and folded.

    Hopefully not.

Apparently guys like Roe, SPT, A&C, PartsRack, Snakeoyl and such have somehow figured out how to manage in a limited marketplace.
We as Viper owners are lucky to have the vendors and service guys that we do.

i purchased these lines almost two ears ago. They went on quickly but you had to remove the factory fittings on the pump and fan, a bolt on adaptor, but it was no biggie.

they look great and worked for almost two years. the two lines were touching each other on the left side of the engine bay. Just from touching, the vibration of driving wore a very small hole in the STEEL SLEEVE on the hose.
it started spraying fluid from that tiny leak over the whole belt assembly, which in turn caused the belt to slip as well as loosing the pressure to run the cooling fan,

i contacted JTS, they said tuff luck. only guaranteed for six months. buyer beware.

in hindsight, some installation instructions would have been nice with a warning to not let these pretty lines touch anything that vibrates. Or provide rubber mounting grommets to secure the lines and separate them.

i recommend you DO NOT throw away the factory fittings you need to remove to install the lines. if you do you will be committed to BUYING another set of lines to replace these if yours fail. The guarantee is very short for industry standards. Even auto zone gives you a year on the crap they sell.

A better solution is to take your old line to a hydraulic equipment company, an air craft hydraulic company, or even a local NAPA store and have a fitting pressed on to the old line to replace the swivel fitting of the factory line.

i am sure these lines worked lovely on a test bench. Where nothing vibrates and you can test them one at a time without them touching something else. but if it had a quality hose benieth the STEEL SLEEVE, it should not have ruptured because the STEEL SLEEVE had a hole worn into it. They should also offer a lifetime replace ment on the hose itself. Like most hydraulic hose companies do. Like they do with their oil lines.

i give it two stars. one because it fit, another because it was pretty. durability, zero, ease of getting a replacement, ZERO. been a week and still waiting. 500 bucks into this thing now. should have used factory replacement, they lasted a good six years,

yep, that's why i bought the kit.

apparently, the lifetime warranty does apply to their oil lines, but not the power steering hose.

it was a bit of a rude surprise. the first of which was the failure of the hose itself. i have steel braided lines on high pressure fuel
lines on my boat and brake lines on various cars and have never had one fail. ever.

But the man said six months, cant/wont help you. not even with expedited shipping. been a week and still waiting for replacement.

personally, if it were my company i would have sent out a replacement for free in return for the failed lines. a hundred bucks
is dirt cheap for some positive advertising.

    buyer beware

    hmmmmmmmmmmm.....

He's always been a little better than most in customer service (However, not surprised)

Disclaimer: I'm not a "Stinker" fan (his name before the business). Great guy when it benefits him, not so great when he owes somebody else. learned the hard way
