Did anyone notice the lap timer on the dash?

Notice the time was 6:59:50?

I was told that's the timer from "the ring".

That's an ok time

Hopefully that is an actual time and not someone just punching in fun numbers. The Vette ran around 7:42 with a pro driver.

Finally got it !

I doubt than this car was taken to Europe and achieved almost a 50 sec difference....

would be great, but sorry guys, this car never spend one second on the ring.

Agreed, if it did we surely would have seen some spy pics before the surprise at the NAIAS.

Fastest lap time ever at "the ring" for a production car was 7:28 --- Porsche Carrera GT. Seems pretty far fetched that the new Viper could top that by over 28 seconds. That's full blown race car territory.

has anyone fugured out what the red aircraft-style switch on the dash is for?

Rear mounted twin turbo. Got it from a very reliable source.

wink, wink, nudge, nudge.

THAT IS AWESOME!

if it werent for that second "nudge" chuck, i would have guessed that your source was unreliable!

:D

Hmmm...The Lambo LP40 as heavy as it is did a Z06 beating 7.40 lap....The 08 Viper should be lighter with similar power...If it were tuned for the Ring it would easily be in this neighborhood...I figure in the 7:30's....Too bad a serious Ring effort isnt in the cards for DC...Not that its necessary just kinda epic...
