DON'T PUMP GAS ON MAY 15TH!!


In April 1997, there was a "gas out"conducted nationwide in protest of
gas prices. Gasoline prices dropped 30 cents a gallon overnight.

On May 15th 2007, all internet users are to not go to a gas station in
protest of high gas prices. Gas is now over $3.00 a gallon in most places.

There are 73,000,000+ American members currently on the internet
network, and the average car takes about 30 to 50 dollars to fill up.
If all users did not go to the pump on the 15th, it would take
$2,292,000,000.00 (that's almost 3 BILLION) out of the oil companies'
pockets for just one day, so please do not go to the gas station on May
15th and lets try to put a dent in the Middle Eastern oil industry for at
least one day.

It may not make an overall difference, but it will make a difference for one day anyway. We're in. Thanx Scott for posting. Anytime we can 'stick' it to the oil companies, even for a day, is worth it. For NOW, yep, we'll pay the prices (who can't????) and enjoy our ride!

Oil companies, gov'ts and the terrorists all sleep in bed together. Think about it for a minute. They all threaten each other and say this and that, at the end of the day they are selling oil to us. We have become so dependent from foreign oil that we can't get out of it.We talk about making ethanol from corn.Are you kidding me? They talk the big talk but why would oil companies want to change to ethanol when they are making huge profits from foreign oil. If they made Ethanol then theres no excuse to make it expensive.They would have to make it UNDER A DOLLAR.They don't have an excuse to say we don't have enough corn.So what do we do? One thing will definetly happen, WAR to take over the fields.Theres no other choice. Life depends on OIL....

Very true because you have to get gas at some point. So if the nation does a protest on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, everyone will fill up. Just changes the day, not the revenues.

The thing we should do is not take the cars out often.I'm not talking about Vipers, I'm talking about every day vehicles.Take the bus, train..mass transportation..Now that will make a HUGE difference..Even walk.Some of you guys need the excercise...no names please no names..
