A few months ago I had my front bumper cover replaced after another driver (female) didn't see the car (???) and ran into it.

Now, the paint has developed many small chip (40-50) areas. It looks like the bumper has a pox. The paint guy agrees that there are too many chips to simply be as a result of road damage. He's offered to repaint the area, but what's to keep it from happening again?

Is it a bad batch of paint, bad preparation, or what?

Any ideas?

Thanks....

Don

I would say he didn't add any flex agent. But what do I know. The only thing I painted recently was my toes......

It shouldn't happen again, but if not done right the first time, the paint now needs to come off, and all the steps of the paint system they are using followed, including proper adhesion, and flex agent throughout all steps if called for. o and all this with bumper off the car please...

That's why body shops can have such varying prices, but unfortunatly thats not the only reason.

If you need to you can call me at my body shop 561 479-3126 after 9am
