Charitable donations last night were raised for the "Blessings in a Backpack" ($400) and for "Hero Reward" ($825).

Blessings in a Backpack
Blessings in a Backpack is designed to feed elementary school children whose families qualify for the federally funded Free/Reduced Price Meal program and have little or no food on the weekends.




Hero Reward Camp
Hero Reward is a program designed to provide U.S. Service men and women, police officers, and fire fighters a one of a kind retreat to aid in both mental and physical recovery from traumatizing events. The nature of these heroes' careers has a certain degree of sacrifice involved, but some experience situations that far exceed the call of duty.

Located on a couple hundred acres in the hills of Southern Indiana, the Hero Reward Program offers lodging, world class fishing, hunting, hiking, horseback riding, 4-wheeling, ***** shooting, and much more. In addition, our local community also offers attractions such as amusement parks, caverns, golfing, casinos, horse track, Bass Pro Shop, antique shops, and many more.

What a great time! Our fall party was a huge success this year weather was perfect enough to get the cars out. We had an excellent showing of Vipers. Twelve cars made the trip out to Snooks Dream Cars in Bowling Green, OH. Now...some pics.

"ENVY" WAS BROUGHT OUT OF STORAGE TO MAKE THE TRIP TO BG.

I EVEN CONVINCED QUICKSRT10/SRT8 TO DO THE SAME

ACCOMMODATIONS WERE AT THE HOLIDAY INN. IT JUST SO HAPPENS THAT MY ROOM HAD A VIEW OF THE CARS.

SNOOK'S DREAM CARS WAS A NICE LITTLE PLACE. A PERFECT SETTING FOR THE PARTY.

HERB HELBIG AND DICK WINKELS BROUGHT DOWN A 2012 SRT/8 JEEP THAT JUST HAPPENED TO BE THE ONE THAT WAS AT "THE RING" WHEN WE BROKE THE RECORD.

BEFORE DINNER "THE GRAILKEEPER" ADDRESSED THE CROWD.

DINNER WAS FANTASTIC! THERE WAS ROAST BEEF, CHICKEN, PASTS, SALAD, AND ROLLS. AFTER DINNER THERE WAS CAKE.

AFTER DINNER, DICK WINKELS DID A PRESENTATION ON THE RECORD RUN AT THE NURBURGRING. WHAT A GREAT PRESENTATION. LEARNED A LOT OF INTERESTING THINGS.

ONCE EVERYONE WAS DONE EATING WE HAD AN AUCTION AND BOY WAS IT FIERCE. WE HAD A LOT OF GREAT ITEMS. I WAS ABLE TO GET SOME OF THE ITEMS I WON SIGNED BY DICK AND HERB!

EVEN SOME OF THE THINGS THAT WERE NOT BEING AUCTIONED WERE SIGNED.

AS MENTIONED ABOVE, THE AFTER PARTY WENT ON INTO THE WEE HOURS OF THE MORNING. WHAT A GREAT TIME. GOOD FOOD, GREAT CARS, AND EVEN GREATER COMPANY TO SHARE IT ALL WITH.
