Just wanted to give everyone a reminder about the Poker Run THIS SUNDAY, Sept. 27 - a BENEFIT for the CYSTIC FIBROSIS FOUNDATION! The weather, so far, looks like it should be good. Our viper driving days may be limited, so let's get out and have some fun while the weather is still nice.
Here are the event details:
Meet at the main entrance in Shawnee Mission Park (off Renner Road) at 11:30 am. We'll depart the park at 11:45 am and drive to Shorthorn's Bar & Grill located at 22917 W. 83rd. This is where the poker run begins and where we register. Registration is $20 per vehicle (motorcycle or car). Checks should be made payable to CYSTIC FIBROSIS FOUNDATION and all proceeds go directly to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The poker run begins at 12:30pm sharp!

And the final stop for the last poker card is back where we started the ride at Shorthorns in Lenexa. There will be a live band and raffles etc. This should be a fun day for a GREAT cause!
FYI.... we checked out all these stops to be sure they were "viper friendly". The only one we found to not be great was Helen's Hilltop in Tonganoxie - it has a gravel parking lot. If you have a passenger, maybe they can hop out, grab your poker card and then you can cruise on to the next stop. Also, if you have trouble with parking at Slow Ride Roadhouse in Lawrence, you can also park in the lot North of the bar.
