Some of the track rat community in Colorado may not be aware of PMP being available for use (open lapping days).
The facility is under new management and is recently been re-paved.
The entrance road still *****.......but the track is killer!
I did a lapping day today (6/8/13), and was surprised to be 1 of only 5 cars the whole day.

HPR lapping days I have attended have usually been kinda crowded and have to be spilt into sessions to accommodate the traffic.
It is nice to have an 'open track' with few other cars every once in a while. (felt like a private test-n-tune day for me)
But, hopefully for the track, attendance will improve. -we need to use these local tracks or they will not be around due to lack of support.

The PPIR open lapping days that I have done seemed light in attendance as well.

............I just don't get it.
I love HPR as much as anyone else, and have more days there than anywhere else combined, but that is only because there hasn't been anything else available ,.....until now.

Not trying to pull business from HPR, but just saying that there are now more places to run our cars.

Every Saturday in July is an open lapping day.
I am gonna get a few of these in depending on the weather (heat).

Tires are definitely an issue now.

Ran again today (Saturday 27th).

Again, total of 4 cars and 1 bike.
It's like having a private rental day with a few friends.

Corded the last of my Pilot Sport Cups, ........and I am so glad to finally be done with those.
They have been the most unpredictable tires I have ever used.

Ran this morning (aug 17th), managed to get 5 sessions in. :drive:
More seat time than I usually get with an organized club date, hanging out all day.

This time, just me and 2 PCA guys.

Track manager has announced that the track will be open all winter for lapping days as long as there isn't snow.

I am going to try to get as much driving in as possible this off-season.
Probably in the Corvette though, as it seems a little more tolerant of ugly weather than the Viper.

The Corvette is more like an actual car.

Just got home, had a great day.
Ended up driving home on corded tires.

Quite a few cars out this time.
...mostly P-cars, but cars non the less.
Got to watch one of them slide off the track right in front of me. Looked like he lifted mid corner or something like that.
