On this page, near the bottom: http://www.theviperregistry.com/build.php It displays a breakdown of Vipers produced according to their color, and I'm specifically interested in the stryker red cars. Trying to find some credible documentation as to the actual number of SR Vipers produced and sold to the public. Am I correct in assuming this tally is compiled from the actual VINs, and do these numbers include promo/demo units or were all counted vehicles actually sold to the public? Reason I'm asking is that a few years ago I recall reading in a thread on here announcing the production numbers, and the number of SR units was much lower, in the 30s I believe - including units that were not sold and used for demo at shows and such. On the IVR chart from the above link, it says 2013: 41 units | 2014: 21 units, a total of 62, and that seems a lot higher than it should be in terms of actual SR Vipers sold. Another oddity: http://www.theviperregistry.com/GEN V/2013 Viper.php It says one SR with black stripes was made. Did that actually happen or was that a fluke? I distinctly remember the dealer telling me that stripes were not an option with SR when I was ordering my car.
