ROCK CHIP IN WINDSHIELD

In FL. it's a state law that your insurance co. replace the windshield for FREE. My allstate agent said that I would have to pay. I did some research and found out the truch. When I confronted the agent, he "apologized" and askd me when I would like it fixed...

Its not too big but still sticks out like a sore thumb.Is there any fix or do I do the new windshield thing .Ive had chips fixed before but you could still always see them.If I need a new windshield what is the best and do I need to watch out for anything and how much is a new winshield. Thanks for your help
