Thinking about pulling the trigger on a '95 RT/10

Salvage title (no frame damage)
Brand new hood & paint (hood was part of the salvage damage. Whole car repainted because of lawsuit over repairing hood with dealer)
45k miles
carbon interior
new rubber on all 4
chrome rims
for 45k miles the car really looks like it's been babied.

Asking price $29k - Good deal?

45k miles on a 95RT/10 with a Salvage title

29k is not a good deal.
I would not pay more than low 20s for that car. 3-5k more can get you a very nice 95 with half or a quarter of the miles that will have a decent resale value, unlike that salvage car.

Heck, you can pick up 97+ RT/10s for mid/low 30s with that kind of mileage.

It's easy to get a salvage title when any damage to the hood means the car is salvaged. Remember, list price on the hood is $18600 and that doesn't include paint. VCA Member CODY was just selling the 27th Gen 1 Viper for about that price......and although he had actually driven it, it was in great shape.

I think you've got to get the seller down at least $5000 - $7000 off the current asking price.

Sounds like a nice car, just don't overpay.

Regards,
Aaron

Remember there might be the day you have to sell and a vehicle with a salvage title is not often looked for or wanted. 20K max, Low ball the crap out if it.

Low 20's at best.

Agree!

I saw a single digit 94 or 95 in autotrader last week for < 30K. You need to take some time and do research, VCA classified's, Autotrader, Cars.com, e-bay (including sold items). Also, take a look at car-fax on the car your looking at.

I don't have a problem with a salvage car but 29k is to much money. 24-25k is more like it if the car is very nice and put back together right.

I have never seen a viper go for less than $20K unless it was still wrecked. I watch these every week.
