The unit is working, but unlike the radio reception in my Durango, the "no signal" screen appeared, and sound stopped more than a dozen times in a 35 mile trip home from the shop. No bad weather or trees over the road. The Durango never loses a signal except in bad weather or under a carport, etc. The antena is mounted under the dash as advised by those here who know, so is this a case of having to move the antena to a better location, or what? Thanks guys.

check your antenna and make sure it is not loose and moving around. there are two vents just above the radio, you can attach it on top of those that should give you a clear signal

My Viper tech tried to locate it there, but the vents on top of the dash conflicted and would not allow that site. We'll try again in a week or two to find a better site. If necessary I'll mount the darn thing on top of the dash, but I DON'T WANT to put it there. Thanks for the input.
