SoCal Viper\'s Kick ASP @ Gold Rush!

Southern California ViperClub members showed the way at the SilverState Gold Rush last weekend. The 55 mile course was run both ways, uphill, then downhill.
Club President Doug Dye with navigator Tim O'cain, takes 1st Place in the 145 class averaging 144.9245 average speed. Doug's radar trap speed was a cooking 165 mph!

John Bennet with his son navigating took 2nd place in the 145 class.

Chris Osborn took 2nd place in the 150 mph class.

This course ran out of Eureka Nevada, on closed public roads. With many curves, and windy conditions, this event was very challenging.

Congratulations to all the Vipers who participated.

That is most impressive, what a rush and on Public roads!! Do you have any more details on the race and other classes? What other cars were running against the Vipers?

Next race is this weekend when the SilverState Classic will be run on Hwy. 118 between Ely and Elco Nevada. This is a "easier" 90 mile long run with more straight-a-ways, and the ever challenging "narrows". Great venue for Vipers, as their superior torque makes for easy running.
All the results are up and posted at www.silverstateclassic.com/

Once again congratulations to all the Vipers who competed.

Paul,

When are you going to come up and play again. It's been a while since I have seen you there!
