Stock \'96 GTS Dyno Run

I just did my first dyno run on my '96 GTS with K&N and stock airbox, at R&D in Carson (CA). The nimbers that I got with fans running were 388 RWHP and 440 torque. This seems a bit low, did I (or R&D) do something wrong?

When I had my heads off for warranty work, I had them do a 3 angled valve job, and ported and polished the bowls (which is as far as they will let us go without voiding the warranty). I expected that I would get bit better than stock (based on Dan Cragin's recommendations). It looks like I might have wasted my money.

Can anyone shed some light on this? By the way, my first run was the best and the two others were at 380HP/432 torque and 384/437.

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Hmmm,

That HP sounds a bit on the low side, the torque is not far off though. The only time I had mine on a dyno was at TNT about 2 years ago. Typical Houston early October day - 94F at noon, about the same level of humidity, car hot off the street:

413 hp and 449 torque

That was K&Ns and smoothies with about 11k miles on the clock.
