Yesterday, drove to the gas station. Locked and unlocked the car. No problem.
3 minutes later. Arrived at a hotel. Tried to lock the car. Nothing happened!

Checked the FOB. Light is on when a button is pressed.

Drove home. Tried the second FOB (never used before) - worked.

Installed a new battery in the first FOB - still not working.

Pressing both buttons for 5-15 seconds to synchronize does NOT work (with both FOBs).

What´s wrong? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Re: FOB

mine did the same thing, after i replaced the battery and nothing happened i threw it on the asphalt as hard as a could out (yes, i have a rage problem). after that i picked up all the pieces and put it back together and it worked. i have no idea how, but id suggest a total rebuild, just take it apart a little more carefully

Re: FOB

Thanks Matt - tried it - did not work.
Why doesn´t the synchronization work? Even with the working FOB?

Re: FOB

I had the same happen to me and went to the dealer to have them reprogrammed. Not sure what he did exactly, but he hooked up some handheld gizmo to the car's computer on the driver's side and did his thing.

Re: FOB

Dodge dealer can re-program like 2002GTS G/C said. They usually charge $15, but the owner of the dealership was a Viper fan and he waived the charge. Takes about 10 min. Good luck!
