Nice article. Will you be at Mid Ohio next weekend...8/17-8/18?

David, thanks for sharing. So, what kind of lap times does your TA car run at Mid-O?

I was running 25s on tires 30 miles past "junk," and felt like I left two seconds out there. Truthfully I think 22s or 21s are going to be needed. I think I can run those times.

True story: last Sunday I complained about the motor feeling weak. A bad plug wire was found. What a difference! The car for the first time ever scared me.

Great read David. You're absolutely right about the price of tires, wow!

Without contingencies, I could be spending around $5K for tires in a weekend to be competitive. Ouch! :(

I'm guessing you we're running high 20's with the Vipers? What's the HP/Wt of TA car?

A TA car makes 830 hp and weights 2,780 lbs. I've done 28s in the STO Viper, but there more to be had.

Holy cow that's an insane HP/weight ratio!

    I think I'd go with TA2!!!

We were there. What happened? Are you ok? We were disappointed you retired early.

Right front brake caliper seal failed causing me to have no brakes and to experience a small fire. That's three "fluke" incidents this year causing my DNFs.
