For track schools, I have had good performance starting with 33 psi cold all around in the morning before going to the track. I have checked my tire pressures a few minutes after a session and it looks like the tires are running about 39-40 psi hot.
Note that this is on a 2008 running the stock Michelin PS2 tires. Hope this helps.
