A suggestion.
I use the todays active topics feature fairly exclusively when "browsing" the site. I know it is reset at midnight US Central time. I think it would be more helpful if it was changed to "Current Topics", reflecting the last 24 hours. I think it will encourage more posts and discussion.
I know this is different logic and possibly a pain to implement. I just think it would make the feature more usable, topics won't get "lost" from the active topics list on daily basis and won't affect late night new topics or thread posts as much in relation to "todays topics"
